Official Statement:
It’s with an incredibly heavy heart that I need to share with you an update regarding some injuries I’ve recently sustained. In an effort to keep going, I’ve received targeted injections that will allow me temporary relief, but the demands of an entire tour is a different story.

After multiple consultations with my doctors and exploring all available options, I’ve been advised that one of my injuries requires a minor procedure followed by a 6-8 week recovery time, therefore it will prohibit me from proceeding with the Straight Up! To Canada Tour, as well as shows scheduled in Anchorage, AK and Fargo, ND.

I want to extend my deepest apologies to all my amazing Canadian fans, you mean the world to me and this truly breaks my heart. I’ve been looking forward to the energy, love, and connection we always share when we’re together. I promise I’ll be back, stronger and better, dancing my heart out and performing for all of you very soon, to give you the show you deserve.

Refunds will be available at your point of purchase.

Credit Card purchases:

Customers who purchased their tickets with a credit card will have the ticket price and the per-ticket fee automatically reversed beginning September 12^th . Please be advised credit card refunds can take between 5-10 days to post. Please contact the Lakeview Tix Box Office at the Ovintiv Events Centre at BoxOffice@dawsoncreekeventscentre.ca if a credit card refund has not occurred by September 20^th.

Cash or Debit purchases:

Customers who purchased tickets using cash or a debit card at our outlet or the Lakeview Tix Box Office at the Ovintiv Events Centre can stop down during office hours Mon – Fri 9am-5pm to process their refund. Refunds can only be processed at the Ovintiv Events Centre Box Office location. Only the purchaser of the tickets, with valid photo ID, may receive the refund in the form of the original payment method.

JUST ANNOUNCED: Global icon Paula Abdul announced 2024 Straight Up! to Canada Tour! joined by very special guests, Taylor Dayne and Tiffany. A music superstar, dancer, renowned choreographer, and TV personality - this event is one not to be missed.

With 60 million records sold, Abdul has earned numerous awards and recognitions including 17 MTV Video Music Awards nominations with 5 wins, 2 GRAMMY Awards, 3 AMAs, 2 Emmy Awards, two People’s Choice Awards, and five Juno Awards.

Paula began as a Laker girl at 18, becoming the head choreographer for the renowned squad. Many superstars sought her expertise -- Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton, to name a few.  She also choreographed numerous films and TV shows including “Coming to America,” Jerry Maguire,” and “The Doors.”
