One extraordinary year...
John Fogerty rocks the Encana Events Centre Tuesday
Tuesday, the legendary John Fogerty arrives into Dawson Creek and the Encana Events Centre to celebrate that extraordinary year of 1969 and the songs of Creedence Clearwater Revival. The night is set to be a trip down memory lane for some and an opportunity to see this rock icon in action for others.
Fogerty is touring across Canada with stops in Montreal and Hamilton to name a few. During his stop in Hamilton at the FirstOntario Centre,
"At 69, Fogerty has lost none of his vocal powers and his guitar playing, rarely given as much credit as it deserves, has only gotten better with age and experience. He's in good shape. His knees show none of the wear you'd expect from an aging rocker and his stage presence is animated, trotting across the length of the main stage and taking a few songs, including a rocked-up version of Lodi, on a secondary stage at the far end of the arena." said the Hamilton Spectator, "And his five-piece backing band is superb. The old songs were given new force and bold tempos by the magnificent drumming of Kenny Oronoff, a touring sideman who has played with Elton John, Bob Seger, John Mellencamp and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Oronoff proved his worth with a solo on the band showcase tune "Keep On Chooglin'," as did multitalented keyboard player Bob Malone."

With songs that explore 1969 PLUS other years too, this will be a night of amazing hits, showmanship, guitar skills and just one hell of a concert.
